1. Nature of the service
PageScan is a browser-based tool that helps extract document pages from user-provided videos and images, enhance page images and create PDFs. The current service is provided free of charge.
2. Automated results
Automatic page detection, boundary estimation, handwriting-ignore logic, duplicate detection and image enhancement can be wrong depending on the source video and document. You must review missing pages, duplicates, order, crop and content before saving a final PDF.
3. Originals and data loss
In-progress work may be lost or interrupted because of browser out-of-memory conditions, operating-system tab termination, browser errors, device shutdown or incompatible media.
Disclaimer: This service is provided as a free tool and does not accept legal liability for recognition errors or data loss. Keep important originals separately.
This clause does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for having the right to process your files, maintaining appropriate backups, and complying with applicable laws and third-party rights when using or sharing output.
5. Prohibited use
- Copying, distributing or selling another person's copyrighted or paid content without permission
- Using the service to bypass DRM, access controls or screen-recording restrictions
- Creating or distributing unlawful content or infringing third-party rights
- Disrupting the site or distributing malicious code
6. Changes and availability
PageScan may change features, compatibility, delivery method or whether features remain free. Browser or operating-system policy changes may also break a feature without advance notice.
7. Third-party services
Hosting/network providers such as Cloudflare and future advertising or consent-management providers may apply their own terms and policies.
8. Copyright
Copyright-related conditions are also described in the Copyright Notice.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service changes. Material changes will be indicated on the website.
